The Music and Worship Committee will be meeting Monday, October 7th at 6:30 PM.

Hymn Sing coming up on October 10 at 6pm at the Hopewell Place! Please let Joanna know
if you can bring a snack to share too.

The Third Quarter Business meeting is Sunday, Oct. 13 at 7pm. Committee chairs please
give your reports to Tom as soon as possible.

Andrea Jones will be heading to Abaco, Bahamas on two trips to assist in hurricane relief
with Hands International, first trip at the end of October. We will begin collecting
donations for her to carry with her as well as for packing a container. Items she is
looking to carry with her are tarps, medical supplies, medications, feminine products,
general hygiene products, MRE’s (meals ready to eat), eye glasses, hand tools, & folding
canes. All other items will be accepted with the exclusion of winter coats.

Youth Center for grades 3 – 8 will be held on the third Sabbath of the month starting October 19.
If interested in helping out, please see Kim.

Adult helpers needed for the Youth Center on Saturday, October 19 from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. We need
two gentlemen and one additional lady. If you have that evening free and can help, please see Kim
Cruzan ASAP. A sign up sheet will be in the vestibule for the rest of the year’s dates

Christian Education Committee meeting Sunday October 20, 9:00 am.

Just a reminder: Wednesday night prayer meeting, 8:00, after Awana. Hope you can join us.

We have finished the Alpha sessions for this fall. If you know of anyone who is interested, please
let Joanna know. There are extra printed materials as well as video resources that can be shared.

NEW PRAYER REQUESTS THIS WEEK:
Dulce Maria Alavez – little girl abducted from Bridgeton park on September 16. Pray also for her family
and the law enforcement officials who are searching for her.
Diane – having a second knee surgery on
September 24.
Bethany’s grandparents – health and for their family as they make decisions regarding their care.
Michelle B’s cousin, Gaten – stage 4 cancer of the brain and salvation
Diane’s friends, Greg Everingham – kidney surgery and his wife, Marie as she cares for him.
Yvonne’s friend, Jen – awaiting a kidney transplant. Her kidney is down to 15% function. She needs
prayers for a donor and for her spirit.
Melanie – sick with a cold this week
Randy’s friend, Curtis Homan – a firefighter from the Hopewell Stow Creek Fire Department recovering
from injuries received in the line of duty; a broken leg.
Kim C’s friend, Greg Mills’ family – former wife, Isis, lost her battle with cancer this past week.
They have four children and 2 grandchildren.

Chris Bond’s cousin, Sherry – may need liver transplant
Yvonne’s uncle Ken – heart issues
Holly’s mother-in-law -in an acute care facility for end of her days; recently moved to a facility
closer to family.
Russell Merritt – congestive heart failure and leukemia; also prayer for his wife, Lida, who is taking
care of him.
George’s mother, Barbara – congestive heart
failure and anxiety
Michelle B.’s friend, Oren –back surgery
Dottie’s friend, Kathy – inoperable cancer.
Andrea Jones, cut her leg.
The Babcock Family – continue to pray for Nelta’s healing, Amanda’s recovery and the family caretakers.

Barb Froding – last day at church after 86 years (9/21) We will miss this faithful servant of the Lord!
Keep Barb in your prayers as she settles in her new home with her daughter in Wildwood and finds a new church.
