and beverages provided. Bring a dish to share if you like.

Let’s continue to spread cheer into the New Year! Hymn sing at the Hopewell
Senior Apartments on Jan. 10 from 5:30pm – 6:30pm!

Enclosed is The Week of prayer booklet for January 6-12, put out by the
Seventh Day Baptist World Federation. This year the devotions have been
written by Pastor Canaan Rabson Karonga Phiri, the current SDB World Federation
Vice President for Africa. During the first full week of January Seventh Day
Baptists around the world are encouraged to be united in prayer by sharing in
meditations centered on the theme “One Thing” and praying for all other SDBs
around the world..

Our quarterly/annual business meeting is scheduled for January 13 at 9am. Would
all standing committee chairman please get your reports in to Tom as soon as
possible.

They say the best way to get someone to come to something is to PERSONALLY invite
them. Please take the insert in your bulletin about ALPHA and pray about who you
can share it with and INVITE them to come. Alpha is an opportunity to explore life
and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. Talks are
designed to encourage conversation and no question is out of bounds. Includes dinner
and childcare! It all starts February 9th and continues for several weeks on Saturday
nights at 6:30 pm. Includes dinner and childcare!

Remember those who are lonely, have lost loved ones, and are depressed this time of
year.

Becky Sibley asked for prayer for her brother and sister-in-law for issues they are
having with housing.

Kathleen’s infection after her first round of chemo and continued prayer as she
continues treatment.

Carla’s new great-grandson has arrived! Santino Thomas Chandler was born on December
17. Mom and baby are doing well.

Amanda has asked for prayer for her client, Alex, who needs a new bed.

LC Brown, pastor of Silver Lake Community Church, needs prayer continuing issues in
recovery from heart surgery.

Dustin Ayars (Kim’s friend) needs prayer with issues with his health, possibly MS

Our country, president and leaders

Chris (Sias) is back in the hospital with heart trouble.
