Partnering in Prayer

The Evangelism Committee just launched a new initiative for partnering in prayer! Last summer, the adult Sabbath School classes combined and did a study of the book, “I am N”.  We learned about first hand experiences of those tortured because of converting to Christianity as well as learning about the needs of those living in areas where Christians are persecuted for their faith.  One of the main ideas those living in hostile areas want Christians around the world to do is support them in prayer.  Working with Voice of the Martyrs, we received the name and a few brief details about a person considered a “frontline worker”. This is a person working to share the Gospel in a hostile area for Christians. Each month there is a different focus topic and scripture. This month’s theme is “Sense God’s Presence” with the scripture reference from Deuteronomy 31:6 which says,

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
